The Song Sparrow

My daughter bought me a bird book for Christmas, knowing that since I had gotten a good pair of binoculars recently, that I liked to look at the birds around our neighborhood. The charm of this little guy just really caught my attention. The song sparrow only gets about six inches in height and it's song sounds a lot like 'maids, maids, maids, put on your tea kettle ettle ettle.'* If you're wondering what the typing is that barely shows through, that's partly my scanner's fault. I have just recently went back to working part time at the radio station. There is always scrap papers laying around partially typed on, so it is my habit to use these papers to draw on while I'm at work. This past Christmas eve I worked a few late hours, just playing Christmas music this shift and took a few minutes to draw this out between songs.
