The Schipperkes

These little black dogs, the Schipperkes, originated in the Flemish provinces of Belgium. In the mid-19th century, some of these little dogs were still being used for herding sheep, their descendant's original purpose. However, the Schip was bred down to become the excellent little watchdog that we have today.
